My name is Alanna Marie Scott.

I write fiction.
I’ve lived in Toronto, Victoria, and now Edmonton. I studied Writing at the University of Victoria and librarianship at the University of Alberta. My stories have appeared in Prairie Fire, Grain, and FreeFall, among others, and I won The New Quarterly’s Peter Hinchcliffe Fiction Contest in 2013. I play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons, watch a lot of movies, and own a Charles Dickens themed Tarot deck.

I live and write on Treaty 6 territory, traditional territory of diverse First Nations and Métis people. I would like to acknowledge the histories, cultures, languages, and sovereignty of the Indigenous peoples who have called and continue to call this place home.
